My first Rolex?

I fell in love with this at a shop near my house. It's a 16013 with something called a "boiler dial". I never considered two-tone watches before, but this one sings to me. I can find others on line but nothing has told me the history of this odd name. Educate this noob.

Here it is on my wrist. No sizing needed.
