I shortened my Grand Seiko bracelet: Regular links vs half links, and how unclean a bracelet can still be after 75 minutes of ultrasonic cleaning

  • the watch is the SBGX263
  • i ultrasonic cleaned my bracelet and after it removed the dirt from in between the links there was extra length so my bracelet got longer.
  • a grand seiko bracelet full link is 10 mm wide
  • a half link is 6.5 mm wide (meaning 2 half links is 13 mm)
  • a ultrasonic cleaning, even at 75 minutes, won’t remove the black dirt stuck in the pins
  • changing from a full link to a half link removed 3.5 mm of length and the bracelet fits perfectly now!

I just want to say Hi. Used to have a few Rolex Watches around 10 years ago but due to a very unfortunate burglary incident may of them were stolen. I am left with just one 116613LB Bluesy that I was wearing at the time of the incident where I was miles away from home. Vintage Cartoon Manual Wind?

We were at the hospital and I saw one of the nurses manually wind her watch, and it caught my attention when she did. After asking her if I can have a look at it i did a little research and found out that there used to be vintage manual winds with cartoon characters on them. I can’t identify the watch though so I was wondering if I could ask for some help. Is it a vintage cartoon character watch? What character is this? Thank you in advance…
