I just want to say Hi. Used to have a few Rolex Watches around 10 years ago but due to a very unfortunate burglary incident may of them were stolen. I am left with just one 116613LB Bluesy that I was wearing at the time of the incident where I was miles away from home. I previously had an Explorer 214270MK2, Air King 116900, Sea Dweller 43 126600 and a Tudor Black Bay 58. After the burglary I really didn’t want to buy any watches and it depressed me but very recently I was gifted…

One Rolex Only: Should it be new?

Play along with me here… I’ve got a collection with which I’m happy. And it’s made up of a few mid-tier brands (Longines, Oris), some micro brands, everyone’s fav not-quite-mid-level -not-quite-micro, Christopher Ward, a neo-vintage Seiko, and some quartz. My next acqusitions are going to “step up” the level of my collection, with Rolex, Cartier, and Grand Seiko.

Thus far, I haven’t repeated brands in my collection. That’s not a hard rule for me, I’ve just been building my collection…

I didn’t want to like this….

A friend of mine wanted to look at the new JLC annual calendar so we took a ride to the American Dream Mall. One side of the mall has a dedicated wing to luxury brands.

After we saw the JLC we ventured over to the Tudor Botique, where I finally got to try on the 1926 Luna. It uses the same case as the Ranger. Are things changing at Tudor ?

I’ve been on “the list” at my local Tudor AD for about 10 months. I’m down for either a Flamingo, Miami or Bumblebee- all the models they are restricting. I get invited to – and attend a Tudor “cheese and biscuit do” at Goldsmiths. They try to sell me a white dial Black Bay Chrono, a watch i also really like. I explain that i think Rolex and Tudors policy of restricting models stinks and that i would never buy a Tudor model i didnt really want. I also expressed that imo Rolex especially…

Problems with my 1mo old Tudor Ranger 36

I’m the original owner. The watch is less than a month old, and was on my wrist until a couple of weeks ago, when I felt my Seiko MM300 needed more wrist time.

Today I tried to wind it, and although I could set the time, and felt the rotor winding it, when I attempted to manually wind it, the crown had a gritty feel to it, and was unusually hard to turn.

I’m going to have to take it to the Tudor AD, and will keep you guys posted with their findings. I know they will take care of it.
