Casio G-Shock 701d – engine works, hands not moving

I own a Casio G-Shock 701d (analog/digital steel). I changed the batteries and did an AC reset. The digital works perfectly, but the hands do not move and are stuck near the 12:30 position.

The engine is clearly working, as I can hear it running in the background when I try to move the hands. The minute hand is also shaking slightly when the engine runs, before returning to the exact former position.

Any ideas?
