Tudor Black bay bronze (43mm) case erosion?

However, since ordering it I've done some further reading about how the patina will develop.
In doing this further research, I came across some photos of someone's watch where the crown had eroded away, losing the Tudor rose emblem and the case had changed shape!
It was suggested that it was caused by skin acidity and Tudor had to replace the case and crown at customer cost.

I suppose…
