I'm posting this is a few forums, and thought it was appropriate to post it here.
The Shipwreck Expeditions Association, in partnership with Geoings, Polska, is pleased to announce that the wreck of the U-583 has been discovered in the Baltic Sea.
The U-583 collided with the U-153 on November 15, 1941 and all hands were lost.
The wreck is a war grave and appropriate authorities have been contacted in order to provide protection for the site.
