Hey guys. Was wondering what to expect customs and taxes wise importing a Nomos from Germany. I live in NY. Anyone with experience? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

RATHER OBSCURE, POSSIBLY GRAIL-LIKE ISSUED TUDOR PELAGOS FXD
So, i’ve recently stumbled upon a Chron24 ad for a rather obscure, highly unusual Tudor Pelagos FXD. The asking price was a whopping €14.000 and now it’s disappeared….
The watch struck me because it only featured two lines of text on the dial and it just said “Pelagos 200m”.
I wonder if this is a genuinely issued version of the Pelagos FXD, because if it is it’s a true collector’s piece: no wonder the ad’s no longer online.
Do you guys know anything about this elusive watch?

Continue readingSelling my MING 17.09 Blue dial. I bought this watch secondhand in 2022 (I’m the second owner – it was a catch and release for the first owner so I received it essentially BNIB).
The watch is in very good condition, showing only light swirls on the polished bezel that inevitably come from normal wear. I would conservatively rate the watch 8.5/10. The watch does not suffer from the quick hour hand alignment issues that plagued the Massena Lab versions, so rest assured.

I discovered my sweet spot is 39 – 41mm watch on a bracelet. My wrist is 6.7 inches big. I love straps but i always come back to bracelets. So i started to pick watches that basically stay on bracelet all the time.

I’ve seen a few watches that do away with the seconds hand, and instead use windows in the dial to reveal a multicolored disc, or other creative ways to indicate that a mechanical movement is running. And I don’t mean an “open heart” watch dial that showcases the balance wheel.
