I was interested in buying one of the new 40mm 9RB2 models coming in September. What put me off, though, is this statement I found in the online Spring Drive manual:
“Periodic inspection and adjustment by disassembly and cleaning (overhaul) is recommended approximately once every 3 to 4 years in order to maintain optimal performance of the watch for a long time.”
Is this really the case? What has your experience been with Spring Drive? Do you actually have yours serviced every 3–4 years…
