Off to an absolutely explosive start.
First watch was a Journe with a nacre dial. Estimates were 60-120 K.
First bid? 220K.
It's been that way for most of the first few lots. Right now it's lot #10, a Journe Souscription. Estimate was "in excess of $1M" so you figure it's gonna go high. Opening bid, $3M. Then $4M. Then $5M.
And the latest bid…after numerous bids…$10M.
About 30 bids…it hammered at $11.6M.
NOW don't forget the buyer's premium, which I believe will add…
