Painting a G-Shock metal bezel

Has anyone tried painting the engraved words on a G bezel? It’s way too small for a paintbrush so the only way would be a tiny bit of paint on a cloth and wipe over then wipe clean the bezel top which might be a bit tricky as you might inadvertently remove the paint you want to keep in the engraving, any hints or tips and what kind of paint? The little Humbrol type modelling paints might do the trick.
