I bought on a spur of the moment, perhaps wine fueled, ebay dive. It was $67 plus a tiny amount of shipping. It supposedly ran fine, the ebay ad even had a video of it running. But I had read about the M27 movement having issues with the day/date mechanism if not properly maintained. It is 53 years old, who knows if it had been maintained, right?
And when I got it I found the ugly truth, it didn't run on the wrist, it would stop within minutes. The seller was upset at me for being upset…
