METAS vs non-METAS Tudor movements: Any technical hardware differences to deliver enhanced accuracy — or just higher levels of adjustment/testing

I'm curious if the newer Tudor METAS-certified movements have any different/added technical components which enable enhanced accuracy versus earlier non-METAS-certfied movements. Or these new METAS-certified movements simply tested and regulated to higher standards — and are otherwise essentially the same as the earlier non-METAS certified movements?
