Many years ago, perhaps over a decade ago, I acquired two used super cheap watches from India. One was in terrible condition and didn’t work well. When I opened it, I found it rusty, which made me lose the motivation to wear them, assuming both were broken.
Today, I found them again and decided to inspect the one I never opened. To my surprise, it looks like new! Although it wasn't keeping time well initially, I managed to adjust it to 9 seconds per day, with a beat error of just 0.6 ms…
