I currently own a Rolex 1503, with the 1570 movement.
I would like to upgrade to a day-date.

I absolutely love the bracelet design on the oysterquartz.
Meat of my question is this, Is the quartz any different in reliability/longevity?
I know a mechanical could theoretically go forever if taken care of and refurbished.
