I've lurked for a while and joined here last year, though I only started posting over the last couple of months. I've worn some sort of watch since I was a kid in the mid 1970s. Most of those watches were of the discount store variety where you buy another when the strap breaks, though I did have a Swatch or two and a Swiss Chantel moon phase that my grandparents gave me for Christmas one year.
I didn't really start collecting until ~ 10 years ago when I started getting into automatics…
