So, got my first watches (loving them). Im just curious what exactly constitutes a watches ‘papers’. I often see that referenced (papers and boxes) as something to make sure you save.
Are papers the receipt from when you bought it? Or is it more.. my watches came with like a warranty card and an instructors manual. Is that what folks mean? I hope the second as one of the watches was a gift…
So. Like many I suspect, I have gotten real into the watch craze the last few months, reading about them watching videos, researching, etc. I had never owned a ‘real’ watch before (a perfectly fine citizen quartz cheap beater i got in college but nothing mechanical).

New to watch collecting (and this forum) and I thought i’d break in by asking some advice!
After reading, researching, and saving for a few months I just ordered my first watch… a Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 42mm. It hasn’t arrived yet (I had to order it from an Authorized Dealer who didn’t have it in stock) but am super excited and looking forward to it!
The only real question in my mind, is i had been very torn on whether to get the 38mm or the 42mm and the AD didn’t…
