Help identifying a clock

I know cliche, but when cleaning out the family house basement I found amongst other things several watches and a clock. The watches im going to try to identify a bit myself before asking for help, but i am hoping to get a hand with this clock… pictures below.

The serial number is very worn away. I think it is 14_382. I wouldn’t swear to that and i think theres a number worn away between the 4 and 3. It is definitely mechanical and does still work. It also reads “chelsea clock company…

Mechanical Watches with Unique/Interesting Complications

I love looking at unique or unusual complications! Some of the ones I like the most though tend to be waaaay out of my price range.

I’m curious looking at non-quartz mechanical in the affordable section (say sub 1k?) does anyone have any really unique or unusual watches with special complications they like? What do you look for in high quality leather bands

I’m currently shopping for some leather high quality military/nato bands. And im not looking so much for a specific recommendation (though hey feel free to throw one out if you have it) as tips (or guides?) for what to look for in these.

Style wise you can get a sense from the pictures.

And if it is a trustworthy/well liked place from the reviews.

Question on How Power Reserves Work

I had a general question about watch power reserves that I couldn’t find a clear answer to with my google skills, but I figured people here would know. Mostly what I was thinking as I stared at my watch!

So, the question is, how does power reserves actually work? As in, my understanding (from the always reliable internet) is that the watch doesn’t just instantly stop, but as the power reserve runs out will start to slow down and then slowly come to a stop.
