Picked up a Chronomatic and an El Primero to go with my early 6139, so now I have examples of all three chronographs that claim to be the first automatic chronograph. The Seiko 6139-6010 is a very early production, from February of 1969. The Hamilton Fontainebleau Chrono-matic is an early model available from the first introduction of the Caliber 11 in 1969, though I don't know exactly when this watch was made. And the latest acquisition is the Zenith El Primero Surf from the early 1970s…
