A friend of mine asked me to see what could be done for one of his old watches – Enicar Sherpa Automatic with a whopping 33 jewels. Understandably, I was curious to see how Enicar managed to apply these jewels in the simple calendar movement AR1125. Looking under the dial revealed the first batch: 6 jewels set in the mainplate to support a driving wheel for lower ratchet wheel. In the middle of this group of jewels is a jewel post upon which the wheel is rotating. So, that's 7 jewels…
