MRG B5000BA on a rubber strap? Possible?

Pretty new to G Shocks, but I am about to purchase a MRG B5000BA-1. I just wanted to know if you think the rubber strap from the newer B5000R-1 would fit? Also, any idea if it is even possible to buy it? I am about to contact Casio directly but if someone has information I would be happy to hear it!
