1967 Glycine Airman Special. 24 hour dial. A Special has 17 jewels as compared to the original Airman's 25 jewels.
The Special was produced for about 10 years till 1969. Mine has CARLSON printed on the dial, , it is a watch distributor company, not a pilots name.
Glycine Airman was also distributed to US Military PX stores in Japan and Vietnam ,were popular with US Pilots. Miltary pilots go by 24 hour time, NASA pilot Pete Conrad wore one,the 3rd NASA pilot to walk on the moon.
