I'm servicing an old Benrus watch with an ETA 1281 movement. The escape wheel is wobbling back and forth, as you can see in the video. Looking at it through a loupe, it looks like it is the lower pivot/bearing where the wobble is happening, not the top. The lower pivot is not broken or bent; its like the jewel's hole is too big.
Have any of you seen anything like this? The strange thing is that the watch wasn't really running bad before I began work on it. Amplitude was about 250 and it was…
