I have a vintage Omega mechanical watch, looks identical to a cal. 601 being advertised. When I try to wind it, sometimes it works, but sometimes immediately or after a short while it feels like winding is blocked. This seems to have nothing to do with how wound it is… sometimes winding is blocked even if watch is completely unwound. Then maybe some time later I can wind it again. Is there a mechanism to prevent overwinding? Could it be faulty? Can it be removed? When I have (repeatedly)…
