For me it's a combination of a few factors:
1. Bang for buck. You simply get WAY more for your money. The quality difference is outstanding in most cases. No cheap punched out hands, machine finished bevels or stamped guilloche with most high quality independents.
2. Unique aesthetics & complications. You can't really get the same aesthetic or functions some of these guys offer elsewhere. MB&F is a great example. It's hilarious to me they managed out outengineer everyone too and deliver a…
