I look at my watches and most are fairly obviously either a dive watch, a Chronograph, a dress watch etc etc.
But some have got characteristics from a few category’s.
Take this Schofield Signalman for example, it’s got a 500m WR rating, but no bezel, so it’s not a diver per se.
It has a beautifully finished polished case and looks classy on its sharkskin leather strap, but it’s not a dress watch, it’s too big and thick, and has far too many complications including a GMT hand.
