Where was this module from and what can I do with it?

Probably some OEM left overs, saw it was on sale for couple thousand of them. The backplate and display looks quite premium, do people still make digital watches in this level of detail? Nixon maybe? Or some other microbrand? Got me quite curious and wanted to pull the trigger. Clearer than most negative display I've seen honestly.
