What’s the fascination with the Casio F91W

It's a small, cheap (literally and figuratively), dated looking little watch that seems to get a disproportionately large amount of praise. It's not particularly water resistant and has fairly mundane features and functions. It literally offers nothing that would make me look at it twice.

Why do people feel this watch is so great? I'm just trying to understand why many people love this thing so much.

I don't get it.
