I've worn my watch on the right hand for almost as long as I can remember. I do that because as a musician [specifically a guitarist] wearing a watch on my left wrist is very uncomfortable – with my wrist perpetually bent while in playing position the watch and strap generally bite into the wrist and feel uncomfortable. Also, while the left hand is almost always busy, my right hand is easier to lift during a pause to see if we're on track for time.
Oddly, I've had several people "correct"…
