I’ve been to WoS today to enquire about a watch and see what discounts may be on offer. This came from a post in the Panerai thread where a pretty good discount had been obtained.
Long story short, WoS can sell me a new watch that is now part of their ‘pre-owned’ stock – they move things around was the quote and a significant discount can be given. To be fair, these watches can be seen on their pre-owned page and state ‘undated’ for the year and equate to 25%. discount off RRP.
Apparently the only difference is the warranty is from WoS not the manufacturer. In Panerai’s case you get a 2+6yr warranty whereas this would just be 2yrs with WoS group. Bit weird for a new watch?
Any thoughts? The discount is really good and it is a watch I really want from a reputable brand but this just seems a bit odd.
