I bought my first the other day, and boy howdy, is it a dinger of hum!
4 beats per second, vs 6 or even 8?
Sure, 8 is nice and all, but meh, I don't look at it that closely to notice.
Traditional quartz: I only dislike them in a 3 hander.
I like them fine when the seconds hand is tucked away inside a subdial.
I just don't wanna see that "tick tock tick tock" of a quartz lurching all across the dial.
But now? I am more than willing to buy ANY watch with the VH31 in it.
