There are certain opinions which really make me shake my head (and probably I am guilty of many) that involve people making self-contradictory statements.
From my experience as a bicycle mechanic, I see the same thing regarding watchmakers and service costs, here.
So, You Can't Have Both:
You can't bemoan the decline of skilled watchmakers and also complain about the cost of decent service.
I bet there are more. Whatcha got?
