It’s uncanny. I’ve owned hundreds of watches over 30 years, and this seems to be the rule for me. I’m talking about watches up to ~$3,000 (Sinn U50: +15 spd). New $1,500 Laco has settled in at +10. Meanwhile cheap Ali Express watches with generic Seiko movements are routinely running at +/- 5 spd and better.
Most accurate watch I ever owned was a $75 SNK809. Quartz accuracy.
I know it’s all the luck of the draw, and that all the examples I’ve listed are within spec, but…like I said…
The more expensive the watch, the less accurate the movement—is it just me?
