Hello, I am new to the horology game. I’m retired and seeking a new hobby. I have worked in the past as a jack-of-all-trades-mechanic and have zero skills in this game except for maybe turning a screwdriver. Interesting Gruen Precision

This (I assume) manual wind Precision has a pointed gemstone on the crown. I’ve seen pictures of those with the smaller, darker, rounded stone, but not this one. I found a pic online of a ladies watch with a crown like this, so i wasn’t sure if i have a watch with a replacement stem, or if I have something interesting.

Monté – Obscure Swiss Vintage Watch

Hello! I have recently bought on Catawiki, a swiss Monté vintage watch. It was estimated at ~450$ by Catawiki and it cost me 90$ + the shipping costs and Catawiki’s fees.
