Odd sized vintage lug widths

I recently inherited a couple vintage watches that I have been looking into getting serviced , cleaning, and updating a bit. I started research into some options for bracelets, but came to learn upon measuring that the lug widths on them are not standard at all. One being about 17.6mm, and the other 18.8mm.

I’m assuming this is relatively common with vintage pieces, what solutions have you found for these odd spacings? Of course straps tend to work within a tolerance of 1mm or so, and I…

Drat….and Double drat! Anyone on the Forums to recommend?

If I had posted this yesterday morning my intended title would have been flagged by the moderators…grrrr!

So I was in Long Island and NYC over the weekend and stopped into an Omega store in LI. Daughter and I like to window shop and we’ve bought a few items in the Omega/TAG interconnected store. nice kids working there.

So one young man plops a nice new Seamaster on my wrist…old school, really nice watch.

Unrecorded Genta Style Bulova Reference Found

So I recently purchased this all original condition vintage bulova from a preowned market here in korea.

It is a genta-styled Bulova, my guess is mid to late 70s, from when Bulova were making the ‘bulova royal oak’.
