Sinn 556 i dies after ~10 hours off wrist, is this normal?

I got a Sinn 556 i in Frankfurt about a year ago as a first automatic watch, and have worn it infrequently since buying it. The main reason being that I seem to need to ‘fight’ for it to keep power through the night, and that often means wearing it at least 12 hours that day and putting it back on immediately upon waking. I don’t think I’ve ever had it keep power for more than 4 days in a row, even with daily wear.

In theory I live autos, and in practice I really want to love them too, so…

I’ve seen a few posts where people state that the external AR coating has a hardness of 1800 vickers yet I can find no mention of this on the Sinn website.

Can anyone confirm this claim?

Sinn 105 UTC – GMT hand misaligned

The GMT hand on my Sinn 105 UTC is slightly misaligned, has been since new, and it really bugs me. I know it doesn’t look like much, but it’s even worse when it’s between hour markers. Am I being unreasonable, or should I expect more from a $2000+ watch?
I contacted Watchbuys right after I got it last fall, and the response was, “It’s within specification.”

Any suggestions? Should I contact Sinn directly? Take it to a local watchmaker for adjustment…

Just bought this Sinn U2 GMT

I own dozens of watches, but have always wanted a Sinn. Particularly a U1 or U2. One was listed not long ago on eBay Australia. Two had already added it to their carts and 12 were watching, all within minutes of it starting. I beat them to it and used buy it now. It’s the earlier model with the ETA 2893-2. I am very excited to get it in the coming days.
