I broke my SINN U1

I’ve worn this watch just about every day since purchasing back in Jan 2011. One day last week after some yard work I glanced down to check the time and noted that the entire internal mechanism had shifted, the SINN logo was no longer located just below the 12 o’clock position it was now located at about 4 o’clock. I took a chance on an Islander rubber strap with deployment clasp for my EZM 9. It fits perfectly. Hard to beat for ~$65. I might sandblast the clasp so it is a better match for the case but it doesn’t really bother me as is.

How the sweet chuff does one fit a Sinn rubber strap to the clasp??

I’ve got a new Sinn rubber strap for my U1 but for the life of me the simple task of fitting the strap to the clasp is just not happening. I can fit the spring bar into one end or the other but in no way can I fit both ends together!

Poll: What style of handset would you prefer on the U50/U1?

I really love the U50/U1, and while I do not mind the current handset, I prefer a sword style handset. It is kind of holding me back from buying one. I wish Sinn offered both.

It appears the US now has two service options…

Dropped a note to RGM a couple of days ago and received a reply to contact Watchbuys and put in a service request. There is now a service center in LA. It seems Watchbuys then advises which center to use.

Sinn Watch Box

Digging through some accumulation and found this Sinn watch box. I had a couple of Sinn chronographs years ago but don’t remember if this was for one of those. I have no idea what watch it goes to. Any ideas?
