An Observation

Maybe this is old news to most of you, but it’s something that is relatively new to me. I bought my 226570 in April 2024 from my local AD. I also own a 116040 and a 116710BLNR. Here is my observation, which I noticed right away, but am just now posting about it. When it comes to setting the time on the 226570, I rotate the crown towards my body, versus away from my body when doing the same with the Sub and BLNR. I just assume this is due to the new movement, but I’m not sure.

Any thoughts?

First Rolex…bought two!

I told myself for years I wasn’t going to go down this road… LOL. I always said I was just going to be an Omega/TAG guy and let it go at that….then…

I’ve stayed away from even LOOKING at a Rolex watch….SERIOUSLY! And then I accidentally saw a green OP 41mm on eBay. Then I googled pictures of it. I honestly thought it was the most beautiful watch EVER. Simple. Classic. NO DATE! I’ll have to investigate…

Made an “appointment” with the closest AD. Nice guy. I sent him two…

Rolex vs. Tudor

Hi all, I’m at a point where my jewelry debt has been paid down, my car is clear for the next 3 months, and commission checks are getting fatter. Thusly, I’m looking for a new hard hitter, big name, prestiged chronograph to fill the box. Obviously, a Rolex Daytona is on that list.

But I can’t seem to find any reasonable differences between it and the Tudor Black Bay Chrono that justify a whopping $5.5k price hike other than the name on the tin.
