Polaris Date – Normal Behavior?

I recently noticed some behavior with my Polaris Date green boutique edition (Q906863J) that I thought was odd and sent it in to JLC for service. I need you folks to tell me if I’m going crazy (somewhat rhetorical). There was excessive play with the seconds hand when setting the time, and the minutes hand jumped forward by a couple minutes when pushing the crown in. The response I received upon inspection is as follows:
