Which JLC model could I wear as a kinda/sorta tool watch?

New to JLC, but have always been interested.

Looking for something that would be the best approximation of a tool watch… But I’m not totally sure how to navigate the options. They seem marketed more as dress watches, but sometimes that translates mostly to “lots of polished surfaces” instead of a relative lack of toughness.

I had (and liked) the Rolex Explorer, but it got too much Rolex attention. Also supremely enjoyed a VC Overseas, but it was a bit spendy at the moment. Also had an…

Rolex BLNR vs JLC Polaris Geographic

Hi – looking for some feedback on each of these from any folks on here that either currently own both or have owned both in the past. I’ve handled both in the metal, and I am aware of the specs and relevant histories of the pieces. To me they are both great in their own right, but I’m looking to understand which you prefer to wear in what occasions and why. And if you previously had both and moved one (or both) on, why?

Polaris Date – Normal Behavior?

I recently noticed some behavior with my Polaris Date green boutique edition (Q906863J) that I thought was odd and sent it in to JLC for service. Reverso Tribute – Big Date Geographic

With some of the other more popular brands taking the spotlight of the new release discussions, this new Reverso came in under the radar with no leaks or predictions.

Unlike other other Duoface Reversos with essentially two dials on either side, this one puts the more traditional time telling on one face, and world time on the other.

I will let monochrom do the professional review, but I must say this is a refreshing new design that’s also practical between big date and relocating the…

Joining the club–new Master Ultra Thin Moon in pink gold

Hi, I am delighted to have entered the world of mechanical watch aficionados with my Master Ultra Thin Moon in pink gold. I have been reading about the MUT Moon for quite a few years but had never tried one on until very recently–it really was exactly what I was looking for — elegant, understated, with an automatic movement (hey, I’m new here!) and exhibition caseback (for me, one of the most important highlights of a watch like this is being able to see the movement at work). I had been…
