Polaris – ensuring it’s real

Hi all
First post here, hi! I’m in the UK.

I am looking at buying a Polaris Mariner Date. For budget reasons, and the fact it’s discontinued, I am looking at used. I have found a watch from a private seller in Hong Kong and as I am going out there in a couple of weeks anyway I can pay and pick it up in person.
