Arnold & Son – Quality?

What’s the general consensus on quality here? What are they comparable to quality-wise? Currently looking @ the double beat. I love their designs but it’s hard to assess the quality of finishing from pictures a lot of the time.

I am familiar with the fact that the history is pretty meaningless here but I don’t generally care about history when buying a watch. Obviously they seem to tank pretty hard too used but I don’t think that’s a huge deal if you buy used to start with.

High-end watch owners, do you ever go back to your cheaper watches?

Recently, I recently got into the world of Lange and Laurent Ferrier, and I planned to sell my Grand Seiko “Shunbun” and Speedy (I’m a two-watch collection sorta guy.) The Speedy, I have no problem parting with, but the GS… I keep having second thoughts. The GS is such a unique and beautiful watch, and there’s nothing quite like the dial or mesmerizing sweep of the Spring Drive. I don’t want to let it go despite the fact that I meant to replace it with the Lange originally.
