I was planning on buying a Bulgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT this month. However, some things have come up and that purchase has been delayed. I guess that gives me some more time to decide between the titanium and steel model. As you'll see …
Continue readingPatek Philippe Jumbo 3800/1j heirloom(?)
I’m torn about this one. A dear family friend contacted me this weekend about a watch his dad (late 70s age) passed down to him last week. Per my buddy- it’s a 18k YG nautilus 3700/1j jumbo.
According to family lore, it was bought in St. Moritz in t…
Continue readingBest Bang for Buck in Haute Horology?
I thought it would be fun to resurrect this as we've had similar threads before.
Basically, just post some references you feel are undervalued/offer a lot of bang for buck used!
For example, the Parmigiani Ionica was crazy cheap for what it was …
Continue readingCartier Santos Carree
Hello fellow enthusiast,
I’ve been hooked on finding a Cartier Santos Carree. Is anyone here knowledgeable and can help provide any guidance. I feel like prices can vary but I’d love to find one not polished. I see there are a couple decent ones on eB…
Continue readingRGM owners
I am looking for a unique watch and like smaller brands lately. I was looking at Dornblueth? and possibly RGM.

Have an unexpected opportunity to pick up a new watch (an investment I thought was a 0 ended up returning capital).
Have had my eye on the Patek 5212a for a long time. Tried it on a couple weeks ago and loved it… except that it’s a Patek. My style has…
Continue readingALS Richard Lange vs MG Benu or as a left field option the Breguet 7037
Need thoughts and opinions on: Dial Aesthetics, Movement design and architecture and finally (and very high priority for me) Movement finish and decoration. The primary contenders are the Richard Lange and the Benu with power reserve. I have had a chan…
Continue readingParmigiani transformation
What do you all think about Guido Terrini’s transformation of the Parmigiani brand? I personally love what he’s doing. However purists think that he’s stripping away the core essence of the brand.
Continue readingBlancpain FF vs. Glashutte SeaQ
After some thinking, wandering, and sleeping my decisions through, I have narrowed my options for my next watch to these two pieces:
a) Fifty Fathoms, “classic” in 45 mm, in stainless steel. Black with sailcloth strap.
b) GO SeaQ, in 39.5 mm, green colour on a rubber strap.
I know many will suggest larger SeaQ, as a more direct competitor to FF, but I am much more fond of how smaller SeaQ looks, visually, compared to Panorama SeaQ.
Regarding FF, I don’t like how the new…
