Our son’s grandfather had gifted him a Casio GW1500-A watch. Recently, the band broke at the pin site. We tried a band from an Amazon dealer. It did not work because the band couldn’t be pushed into the lugs far enough to engage the pins- due to the design- it did not exactly match the original. (FD it had been taken to a jeweler because the pins also needed replacing.)
Huge sentimental value- any suggestions?

Here I go again!

After some of my recent finds and subsequent restorations, I’ve kind of decided to try and make a collection of “classic” vintage G’s other than 5xxx’s. I’ve had, and flipped, a number of different models over the years, but this time I’m picking particular ones and keeping them.

I was just on one of my G-Shock searches on eBay, and happened across this beaut. I actually have one already, so this will probably be flipped for a half decent profit as long as it works, which it should.

The seller had it listed as not working after a new CTL was installed. It should just be a case of AC reset and then set the watch. It won’t need sun because the CTL batteries come fully charged.
