As I'm sure you know, in Britain we drive on the lefthand side of the road – this means I never get to see my watch!

Sitting in the righthand front seat whilst driving means that the right (watch free) hand/wrist is the one that sits on the steering wheel, while the left hand changes gear or sits on my lap (I've always preferred manual).
