A friend of mine collects antique guns from the 1800s. They’re obsolete and can’t be shot anymore but are interesting from an engineering and historical perspective.
Anyway he bought this one with no sights on it. With original sights being pretty rare he asked if I could make something that would look reasonable on display.
Well after looking through my scrap bin for some suitable metal, and a hunt through the Golden Virginia tins for some screws and fittings, something took shape. Quite pleased with the result.
