Sitting here looking at my SM300 crystal

I'm sitting here staring at my SM300 crystal, and it's terrible. Every time I wear this thick-weave linen shirt—I love linen; half of my shirts are made of it—I end up matte-finishing the top of the domed crystal. Do you guys ever have problems with shirts scuffing up plexi crystals? The tophat Plexi on the 1680 Submariner seems impenetrable to scratches for some reason; it must be something about the design that takes scratches to the edge rather than the surface and hides them better.
