Should I work on my Seiko SNK809 myself or no?

So I've got an old SNK809. I'll probably never get rid of it, as it was my entry into the world of automatics and I just kinda like it.

A while back, it took a header onto the locker room floor and got really rattle-y, even more rattle-y than is typical for a watch that normally sounds like a manual coffee grinder. Via the display back, I've determined that a loose rotor seems to be the problem.
