I hadn’t previously noticed how much of my Bulova “Lunar Pilot’s” crystal sits above the bezel, just begging to be chipped or cracked by a wayward spastic swing of my left wrist against a chunk of lava rock or a metal table edge.
I checked the rest of my collection and out of 12 other watches, only one had its crystal sitting above the protective plane of the bezel, and only barely. The Bulova’s crystal just seems to be asking for trouble. It’s a…
