Hello there!
I recently bought a Nivada Grenchen CASD from a seller on ebay. It arrived in excellent condition aesthetically, but it was stopping over night. This morning it had stopped again and I was able to get it to run again after engaging the chronograph. It kept running (and still is) all morning. I took it to my local watchmaker to see what was up.
Watchmaker found a shattered jewel on the minute wheel. He was able to clean it up but he said he'd never seen a movement with this…
