A several months ago I purchased a Dietrich Gruen & Son pocket watch. On teardown and inspection I came across a chipped exit stone.

I thought I would share how I went about replacing it using my microscope camera and its built in measuring tools.

I first calibrated my microscope and took some measurements. I used this to source a replacement stone and to record where to set the new stone.
