Apologies if this is beating a dead horse (err… shell cordovan strap…see what I did there?), but I'm way down the rabbit hole here on a simple buckle. I've seen a few related posts, but no "this happened to me" stories.

Has anyone ever had any honest, real-world experience with a springbar failing on a NATO buckle resulting in loss?
OR
Has anyone ever been injured/potentially injured a result of a strap/bracelet being caught on another object…
